Many communist parties have set out towards a "new way" of achieving socialist society, diverging away from revolution and opting for the path of election through universal suffrage in Parliament. The claim is that the methods of Marxism must be updated to meet the situation of the 21rst century.
Yet this policy of reformism forgets the dialectical methods through which Marx analyses society, and the fundamental elements of capitalism, which persist and become stronger through the years, that pose the challenge to reformism.
Join us for our first meeting of the year to discover our stance and discuss the potential of revolution on Wednesday! We will of course head off to the IoE to further the talk once the official meeting is over.
