The division of the world into nation states – and the competition it engenders between national gangs of capitalist robbers – is making a mockery of the fight against climate change. Capitalist politicians and commentators rarely admit this obvious truth, but sometimes it’s possible to read an article by the more astute representatives of capital that suggests a glimmer of an understanding. One such article recently published in the Financial Times (FT) is titled ‘How China cornered the market for clean tech’.
From 30 November to 3 December, dozens of communists from across the American continent will be gathering in Mexico for the 5th Pan-American Cadre School of the IMT. We are expecting over 100 comrades from Canada, the US, Mexico, El Salvador, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Chile and Argentina will participate in the school, which is being organised around the theme of the life and ideas of Lenin, marking the 100 anniversary of his death in January 1924. The opening rally will take place at the Trotsky House Museum in Mexico City and the rest of the school will be held at a residential venue outside of the Mexican capital.
Del 30 de noviembre al 3 de diciembre, decenas de comunistas de todo el continente americano se reunirán en México para la 5ª Escuela Panamericana de Cuadros de la CMI. Se espera la participación de más de 100 camaradas de Canadá, Estados Unidos, México, El Salvador, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Colombia, Brasil, Bolivia, Perú, Chile y Argentina. La escuela se organizará en torno al tema de la vida y las ideas de Lenin, con motivo del centenario de su muerte en enero de 1924. El acto inaugural tendrá lugar en la Casa Museo León Trotsky en la Ciudad de México y el resto de la escuela se desarrollará en una sede residencial en las afueras de la capital mexicana.
