In New York there was a light, happy mood in the 100,000 strong crowd. We handed out roughly 2,500, leaflets and got a good response from the anti-Kerry and Venezuela ones especially. The anti-war mood was VERY generalized. Again, met a lot of people interested in discussing and got signatures for the Hand off Venezuela campaign.

On a bright sunny 70 degrees (Fahrenheit) day about 50,000 people marched and rallied in San Francisco to say no to war and the occupation of Iraq. The supporters of the US Socialist Appeal were there with their leaflets, journals. We gave out about 4000 leaflets and met a lot of interesting people. We had lots of good conversations and directed a number of people to our websites internationally especially the Spanish speaking people we met.
