'Iranian workers are not alone!' campaign in Pakistan |

As part of the international "Iranian workers are not alone!" campaign, on March 17, the Pakistan Trade Union Defence Campaign (PTUDC) and the BNT (Unemployed Youth Campaign) organised a seminar in the Rawalpindi Press Club to condemn both the threats of American aggression against Iran and the abuse against the political and the trade union rights of the Iranian working class.
Comrade Kabir Khan chaired the armed conflict with Iran. He explained the now war is an economic necessity of meeting and Comrade Lal Khan opened the discussion. He defined the causes leading to American imperialism. In the past the dollar was printed in Texas. Then they broke the link between the dollar and real production in the 1960. Now they have broken the link between the dollar and every thing. The exchange value of the dollar is the cause of the American domination.
One more reason for aggression against Iran is to weaken the influence of Europe, especially France and Germany. Lenin said that the war is terribly profitable. As we see that the Second World War enormously strengthened US imperialism. Sometimes imperialism uses direct invasion and sometimes they  just use the threat of war.
The American "war against terror" has actually made this world even more insecure. American imperialism has been defeated in Iraq. Bush is using the Iranian nuclear programme for his own interests and Ahmadinejad is using it for his own. Both are actually using this as an excuse to crush their own masses at home.
If there is war then there will be a revolutionary movement in Iran. The American army is withdrawing its forces from Afghanistan. If the Americans cannot control the situation in Afghanistan then how can the NATO forces do the job? Now Musharraf is the second most insecure person in the world after Bush. If a new war starts in the Middle East then the whole world will be engulfed by revolutionary movements.
After comrade Lal Khan, comrade Yasir Khaliq, Organiser of the BNT, C.R. Shamsi of the journalists' union, Akram Bunda from the PTV union, Shukat Satti from the PTCL union also spoke and said that an attack on Iran could well be the last war for imperialism.
