As we have already announced, next week is a week of solidarity action with the Iranian workers. If you haven’t already done so, please take it up in your local labour movement.
We would like to remind our readers of the “Iranian workers are not alone campaign”. This has been building up over the past few weeks. Pickets are being prepared in several countries, and many signatures of trade union leaders and activists have been coming in, among these are such figures as Jeremy Dear, general secretary of the NUJ in Britain, John McDonnell, the Labour MP and coordinator of the Campaign group of MPs (the left wing of the Labour Party) and also Orlando Chirino, national coordinator of the Venezuelan UNT.
