Over the weekend of 8-10th April, over 120 Socialist Appeal supporters and sellers met in London to discuss the turbulent economic and political situation developing in Britain - and internationally - and to take stock of the tasks facing Marxists in the period ahead. The mood at the conference, hosted by the UCLU and SOAS Marxist societies, was one of brimming optimism and enthusiasm about the prospects for building the forces of Marxism.

South Africa is a key country for the world socialist revolution. Therefore, the IMT is dedicating many resources to help theRevolutionary Young Marxists in building their organisation. This year we have paid one visit to the comrades, and we have brought one of them to our Marxist Summer School in Italy. We aim to do the same next year. At the same time, living in a very large country with low wages, the costs of books, materials and travelling to meet other comrades are very high and the lack of funds is a real problem. We urge all our readers to consider donating to the IMT winter collection in order to support this work. Click on the button below to donate:

Over 60 comrades and contacts from New York, New Jersey, Boston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Greensboro, NC, Toronto, Montreal, Greece, and Switzerland all participated in the highly energetic 2015 Northeast Regional Marxist School. There were many contacts present as well, one even coming all the way from North Carolina.

Around one hundred young people gathered last weekend in Biel for the Sixth Annual Marxist Autumn School. Compared to 60 people attending last year, this is a big step forward for der Funke/l’étincelle, the Swiss section of the IMT. Also present were international guests from five different countries. The event was bilingual in German and French, and took place over the course of the whole weekend. We were also proud to be able to present a newly printed republication of The Third Front, by Willi Münzenberg. The success of the school has shown once more the increasing interest in Marxist ideas in Switzerland.

On the 23-25 October, around 150 revolutionaries from across Britain and Europe gathered in London for the Red October weekend of Marxist theory and activities. The mood was one of tremendous energy and enthusiasm, reflecting the upturn in the class struggle in Britain and internationally.

IMT World School 2015

Over 270 Marxists have now returned home to over 30 different countries after attending the International Marxist Tendency’s World School that took place in Bardonecchia, Italy, last week. The school demonstrated the tendency's activity and the strength of revolutionary ideas through the high political level, the number of enthusiastic young people in attendance, and the excellent application of Marxist theory to the mass movements developing around the globe today.

The Greek Marxists have explained for some time the need to break with Capitalism. The vacillations of the government and the blackmail of the Troika is plunging Greece into recession once more. The crisis is turning more serious and the Greek Marxists need your support.

Over the weekend of May 23 and 24, revolutionary Marxists from California, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Madison, Dallas, Kentucky, Ohio, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Pittsburgh, and London gathered at the University of Pittsburgh for the 2015 WIL National School. Nearly 60 comrades attended this event, a clear indication of the enthusiasm for the ideas of Marxism amongst the comrades of the American section of the IMT. In the midst of dramatic movements around the world and in the USA itself, the success of this school reflects the need for a clear Marxist understanding of history and current events as the working class struggles to challenge the exploitation and oppression of the capitalist system.
