The seven socialist activists abducted by the Rangers in Pakistan are still being held. Their whereabouts remain unknown. All possible measures are being taken to locate them. As yet, no charges have been made and the reason is that no crime has been committed. They have been abducted because of their solidarity activities with the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM): a mass movement of immense proportions of the Pashtun people, who are demanding to know where the 30,000 people who have disappeared over recent years are, whether they are being held in prison or whether they have been killed.

The Flasko factory which has been occupied and run under workers’ control needs your help. For eleven years this factory has been run without bosses and under the control of the workers. Now they are waging a struggle to have the factory officially nationalised under workers’ control. Flasko needs 10,000 signatures by June 17 to force a public hearing in the Brazilian Senate to discuss their proposal of expropriation of the occupied factory. We publish this solidarity appeal from Turkey that we received about the Kurdish activists who are on hunger strike against their treatment at the hands of the Turkish authorities.

The struggle of the Bouazar miners is entering a crucial stage thanks to the mobilisation of the masses in the cities of Ouarzazate and Taznakht. Fifteen miners have been arrested since then and are being brought to court accused of obstructing the freedom to work during their two day strike on the 10th and 11th of October. This struggle has raised a lot of sympathy amongst young people, school students and workers in the region, nationally and even internationally. The echo in the Moroccan media is as expected, very weak. The system multiplies the walls of silence surrounding it. It is a symptom of its fear of that exemplary battle.
