Ten years ago, after the failed coup against Chavez, Alan Woods and Ted Grant greeted the victory of the mass movement, but also warned: “It is not possible to improve the conditions of the masses and leave the rotten and reactionary bourgeoisie in control of the means of production. The land, the banks and industries must be taken out of their hands. The economic power must be in the hands of the people. That is the first condition for victory.
