On Monday 26th of July we published an Urgent Appeal against the brutal attack which took place in Lahore on July 23, 2004. The attack was perpetrated by hundreds of fundamentalists belonging to the most notorious religious organisation, Islami Jamiat Tulba (an outfit of Jamat Islami) against our comrades who were engaged in a campaign for the registration of unemployed youth. We recieved many protest mails from all over the world and we would like to thank all of you for your international solidarity.
In the meantime we also recieved a new message from our comrades in Pakistan:
Dear comrades,
Below are the email addresses, where protest emails should be sent to condemn
the brutal attach of the Islami Jamiat Talba on the BNT Camp asking them to look
into the matter and guarantee the registration of FIR. You should also mention
that these fudamentalist culprits are allies of the government and that it is a
scandal that no newspaper is going to address the issue.
