The Executive Council of the Alberta Federation of Labour has come out in support of the Hands Off Venezuela (HOV) campaign in Canada. Here is the letter they are circulating to all their local union presidents urging them to endorse and support HOV. This is a huge step forward for the solidarity campaign in Canada.

More than 200 people braved strong winds and rain, on Wednesday, September 28th, to attend the joint Labour Representation Committee and Socialist Campaign Group Rally at the Labour Party Conference. Instead of peace we have a dramatic increase in extreme sectarian violence. More than ever the call for working class unity in the struggle for socialism is the only answer.

Basque Country trade union supports Venezuelan Revolution

The overwhelming majority of the delegates to the IX Congress of the General Workers' Union (UGT) in Euskadi (Basque Country), passed by acclamation a motion in support of the Venezuelan Revolution. The motion was read by the chairman of the Congress and moved by a number of Congress delegates.
