One Iranian worker released but keep up the campaign for the others

We reported last week that Sadegh Amiri, a member of the Committee in Pursuit of Free Labour Organisations in Iran, and Parviz Salarvand, a worker at the Iran Khodro car plant had been arrested and launched an appeal for their release. We have just received the good news that Sadegh Amiri has been freed. A bail of £50,000 has been set but he is out for now. So please take account of this when getting people to sign the petition and take his name out of the five demands at bottom. We are amending the text on this site accordingly. But don’t let up the pressure. Parviz Salarvand is still being held and we still need to demand justice for the workers who suffered a brutal attack on the part of the Islamic Labour Council.
