“Through this press release I hereby demand that the wages of the workers of all Pakistan should be raised in the same proportion that the salaries of the Members of Parliament have been increased. I also want to announce that I have submitted a resolution to the Secretariat of the National Assembly for the repeal of IRO 2002 (Industrial Relations Ordinance) and the draconian law ‘Removal From Services Act’. This resolution will come up for debate after the commencement of the next session of the National assembly. I appeal to the trade unions and workers to support me in this struggle that I have launched from the floor of the national assembly.”
