A number of proposals regarding solidarity with strikers in our industry have reached us.
We want to reassert unambiguously that the best kind of "solidarity" is first to widen the scope and the size of the strikes to other workers; to other economic sectors.
It is only in this way that all of us together can stop the dismantling of our social security system which is under attack from the Medef (French bosses’ union) and the government.
Each of us must therefore do as much as possible to ensure that the struggles are extended throughout our country, both to gain victory and to stop the repressive attacks on the right to strike and the right to defend oneself in France.
The National Federation of Chemical Workers of the CGT wishes to thank you for the financial solidarity that you are raising for the workers in the oil industry, and in our industry, who are on strike against the pensions reform, and for an alternative to the idea of making us pay for the crisis of the rich.
