Venue: UEA, Congregation Hall, Room 0.09
This year marks 100 years since the Russian Revolution: the first time in history that the masses of workers organized, took power into their own hands, and attempted to transform society in the interests of the majority. Led by the Bolshevik Party, the October Revolution of 1917 represented a colossal achievement for the working class.
Join the UEA Socialist Society as we discuss the lessons from the October Revolution, and the relevance of these ideas in understanding how we can fight for radical change today.
Any and all are welcome - feel free to join in with the disucssion, or just sit and listen in. After the meeting, we will head to the Student Bar on campus for drinks.
Location: Congregation Hall, Room 0.09.
