Hundreds of messages have been sent to the Bolivian authorities by student and labour movement activists, left wing organisations and individuals from all over the world demanding the immediate release of Cesar Zelada, the Peruvian student and left wing activist jailed in Bolivia on September 14th.

Pickets of the Bolivian embassies have been organised for tomorrow, Friday, September 24th, in Rome, Vienna, Buenos Aires and Mexico amongst others. In Spain the Students Union has called a demonstration at the Bolivian embassy on October 5th (http://www.elmilitante.org/index.asp?id=muestra&id_art=1429)
It is important that the campaign continues and pressure is exerted on the Bolivian authorities.
