What internal and external factors contributed to this? What the current tendency of the communist movement in the world (China, Vietnam, North Korea,etc.)? Osmin Solano Dear Comrades I noticed that you have set up a website specifically dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the publication of the Manifesto. The Center for Socialist History recently published a major reference work by Hal Draper titled "The Adventures of the Communist Manifesto" It is divided into three sections. A publishing history of the Manifesto. Four parallel translations: the original German, the 1850 Macfarlane translation which may in part reflect an early attempt by Engels,the Authorized English Version by Engels/Moore and a New English Translation by Draper. The latter is not meant to replace the Engels/Moore version as a literary document but to highlight the problems with it as a guide to the German original Finally, there are over 200 pages of annotations designed to clarify the meaning of the text in 1848.
